Enjoy a curated selection of mouth-watering culinary delights from five of the best shops in Chinatown and Little Italy. Not surprisingly, they are all mom & pops who put their hearts and love into every bite.

We begin with a classic Hong Kong sponge cake and Thai tea, followed by the the neighborhood's best pork and chive dumplings (veg alternative available). We then enjoy exceptional pizza crafted with a sauce perfected over 4.5 hours, sample fine cheeses and salami from a century-old shop, and finish with Little Italy’s top cannoli from a bakery founded in 1892.

Food culture has always been in my family. The farmers pictured are my grandparents from Naples, and the black and white photo from 1920 is my Sicilian grandfather at his shop in Brooklyn.

PS Unfortunately, we can do not offer gluten or dairy free options. We do however have veggie or chicken alternatives to the pork dumplings.

Join me for an intriguing tour around Little Italy to see filming locations of classics like The Godfather, Donnie Brasco, Gangs of NY, The Sopranos and Mean Streets. We will discuss the films and what motivated directors like Scorsese and Coppola. On our route is the historic bar where both Donnie Brasco and The Sopranos were filmed, John Gotti's Ravenite Club and the early-immigrant church in where a key scene from The Godfather was filmed. 

We finish with real true crime photos from my journalism career Queens.

And we will stop at Ferrara's Bakery for a cannoli!
